Everything is still pretty crummy, but…
- I got a ton of work done today and for once my three desks (they are arranged around me in a u-shape) look very clean/manageable, meaning they’ll seem WAY LESS intimidating when I come back to work on Monday.
- Because it is Friday, when I leave work at 5pm, “Born to Run” will be playing on the radio. This is one of my favorite moments in the working week.
- This weekend is the first meeting of the Cleveland YA book club!
- When I was in college, my roommate gave me a copy of the Twin Peaks book The Autobiography of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes. I went several years without reading it, but I finally picked it up the other night and it’s oddly comforting and (dare I say) whimsical. Overall it’s about a thousand times better than The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer.
- I got a copy of Jami’s 24-hour zine in the mail earlier this week and it’s motivating me to get in gear and send some mail this weekend (meaning I’ll have a chance to bust into the sweet postcard book I picked up at Goodwill last Sunday).
- I’m always contemplating deleting my Facebook (probably almost as frequently as I contemplate deleting my tumblr), but this morning Brandon used Facebook to let me know about Mayor Bloomberg declaring a (sadly, one time only) Gossip Girl day, which in turn reminded me of this amazing Gossip Girl cold open (which Brandon declared “the most seminal moment in Gossip Girl history”). So, you know, my Facebook lives to see another day.
