Just researching job opportunities and academic programs in ALL THESE CITIES (and sometimes countries!) I DON’T LIVE IN. My for real DREAM JOB (the other dream job, the one that is not Stephen Malkmus’ personal assistant or young adult serial fiction ghost writer) is open in NYC but it’s only part time. My DREAM ACADEMIC PROGRAM turns out to be a real course of study and is available in Ireland, but there’s no funding for it because it’s a taught program and not a research program and OH MY GOD WILL IT EVER BE FIVE O’CLOCK TODAY???
