NEW WAXAHATCHEE! NEW WAXAHATCHEE! OH MY STARS!

Waxahatchee’s new, massively cleaned-up sophomore LP Cerulean Salt is out March 5th and if “Peace and Quiet” is any indication, it’s gonna be a major sonic step forward. Not necessarily for Ms. Crutchfield, but certainly for the formerly lone acoustic guitar + tape hiss Waxahatchee. There’s still a warmth here, though, that you just won’t find anywhere else. In love, for sure.

I didn’t ever want to admit that I didn’t really care about the 1st Waxahatchee record (maybe I just didn’t give it enough of a chance?), but I’m into this.
