I should print this out for my students. Last semester we talked a lot about food justice & how eating healthy is a privilege that is impacted not just by what’s in your wallet, but where you live, whether or not you have access to transportation, whether or not you have a full kitchen (ex. fridge, stove, and oven, not just a microwave or hot plate), etc. I think it would help them to see a breakdown of how and why unhealthy food is cheap to get a better understanding of the systemic factors that influence food (in)justice.
