Robyn - “Show Me Love,” 1997

Vintage Robyn

Yes! The first CD single I ever owned was “Show Me Love.” I still own (and listen) to it.

Robyn 90s

Robyn, “Call Your Girlfriend”

So, this has already been blogged to the end of tumblr and back, but I watched it for the first time this morning and damn, do I ever love Robyn.

Watching this really makes me regret not going to see Robyn when she last came to Cleveland — I could have gone, but she was playing at the House of Blues and I like to make a point of not going to shows there because, hello, there are so many cool vibrant locally owned venues in Cleveland the House of Blue blah blah blah, political high horse, blah blah blah. But really? What good are my sanctimonious personal politics re: consumption if they’re preventing me from basking the glow of a perfectly good Robyn concert?
